WELCOME

On The Rock Ministries was birthed to glorify God through authentic relationships rather than religion. We believe in being the hands and feet of Jesus by serving those in need and living out the gospel in our daily lives. We show people their God given value and strive to spur each other on towards love and good deeds. As we are in Him and He is in us, we move in the power and love of Jesus Christ to heal the broken hearted and set the captives free. Join us for uplifting services, engaging events, and opportunities to serve our local and global communities.

                                                                                     BREAKING THE MOLD

Every Sunday, or lets say everytime there is a gathering of believers, people attempt to get all stirred up in their hearts for Jesus! What if the Jesus  that people get stirred up about isn’t the Jesus of the bible? What if the Jesus they got all stirred up about is only a figment of their imagination? You see the Jesus I know can’t be molded,

Jesus broke the mold as king and savior by demonstrating humility and compassion, entering the temple to clear out moneychangers, which challenged the established religious order. He fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies, demonstrating that he was the long-awaited king. Additionally, he broke societal norms by rebuking Peter, showing that he was not bound by the expectations of his time. His actions and teachings challenged traditional interpretations of kingship and saviorship, making him a unique figure in history.

Let’s rewind to that moment in Jerusalem. Jesus is approaching the city, and the crowd is ecstatic. They’re laying coats on the road and waving palm branches. Why? Because they believe their long-awaited king is finally here. But the King they were cheering for… wasn’t the King they were getting.

Who Is This King?

Most of us grew up with a picture of Jesus in our minds — gentle eyes, flowing hair, maybe a glowing aura. But sometimes our expectations of Jesus are more influenced by artwork than Scripture.
Even in Jesus’ time, people misunderstood who He was:
People questioned who He was then just as they do now!
Luke 4:22 says“Is this not Joseph’s son?”
John 6:42 says “How can He say, ‘I came from Heaven’?”
When the crowd saw Jesus coming into Jerusalem they cheered — but for all the wrong reasons. Their hopes were real, but their expectations were off.

Jesus Came Riding a Donkey — On Purpose

In Matthew 21, Jesus instructs His disciples to bring Him a donkey. Not a stallion. Not a chariot. A humble, everyday work animal.
Why? Because His kingdom isn’t built on intimidation or image — it’s built on humility, servanthood, and love.
1 Corinthians 3:9 says “We are God’s fellow workers…”
God has always chosen to partner with people — not perfect people, just faithful ones. I know two imperfect people right now that God is drawing together to break the mold of the church, of ministries and prayer groups; to break the mold of religion, to shake every heart riding on self-righteousness! They are rebels for Jesus! You don’t need to be flashy. You just need to be available.

Are we just bringing the word to those pretty people that show up in church each Sunday with their perfectly hand written check, to the folks that have their pretty little house with their pretty little dog running around the front yard?

You see a donkey represents peace. But here’s the twist: Jesus also brings a sword — not a weapon of violence, but of truth.
Truth divides. It shakes things up. Just like a surgeon who cuts in order to heal, Jesus may challenge you — but it’s always to transform you.
Matthew 5:9 says “Blessed are the peacemakers…”

The crowd in Jerusalem was shouting, “Hosanna!” They were ready for revolution — expecting Jesus to overthrow Rome.
But Jesus didn’t come to overthrow governments. He came to overthrow hearts.
The people of Jerusalem wanted a
   A political hero

National freedom

A crown of gold

But Jesus gave them:

  • A suffering servant

  • Freedom from sin

  • A crown of thorns

Sound familiar? Even today, we sometimes want a Jesus that fits our ideals — political, cultural, or personal. But Jesus isn’t a mascot. He’s not running for office.
Jesus said John 18:36  “My Kingdom is not of this world.”

Jesus is Still Shakes Cities!!! Just like He did in Matthew 21:10-13  And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?” So the multitudes said, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.”

Jesus Cleanses the Temple

Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ”

That word “stirred” in Greek means shaken like an earthquake. When Jesus enters a city — or a life — He doesn’t sneak in quietly. He shakes everything up.
My friends, we need that holy disturbance. Whatever mold you have become comfortable or accustomed to needs shook up and set free! God did not say to be capitive, He said take captive your thoughts and everything that would come against Jesus Christ! So which is it today, Are you gonna remain captive or will you break the mold and stir things up so the real Jesus can be seen, heard, and His power demonstrated in every life we encounter!

How Will You Respond today? Revivals coming folks:

You will either break the mold and walk in the image of the real King or be a casualty found captive!!!

Will you let Him shake up your life?

Will you lay down your palm branch and pick up your cross?

Jesus didn’t come to impress and create opportunity for casualties . He came to transform, set freedom, and create warriors for the work of His hands .

Amen brother!

This is why we must keep our eyes on God's word daily to feed our spirit. And keep all his commandments. Also, I believe we are in the last days and we need to keep praying for Israel and keep watching the sky until we are raptured up and meet Jesus! Praise you Lord!

I think of that old song. I can do all things through Christ who has risen in me. On our own this seems difficult, but if we give ourselves over to the Holy Spirits complete control, then Christ will use us to affect other people and situations. Our desire should be to be a tool in the hands of God. That we might make this world a better place. JD

WOW!!! Definitely something to pray and meditate on!! Having been going through the MOST difficult experiences with people I love, and who have let me down so many times when I had every reason to believe otherwise of they're actions and choices!! I have been the sacrifices by those who loved or hated my husband!!! I don't like to appear to be a victim of anything because I always got through things, forgave wrongs done and put myself in they're shoes. I haven't gotten any of those things from these people in this situation! And know this, I have my wrongs in all of it too! I've lived in a desperate fight or flight mode, walked on eggshells all the time in this not wanting to hurt or anger anyone!!! I let ME down the most!!

I failed to stand up against what was wrong according to God's word. Guess you could say I was chicken!! Lacked Faith and have been impatient!! Among some other things I won't share here, but some of you know.

So the mess this has left my life in, financially, personally, spiritually, my relationships with family and others, physically, my self confidence, self esteem, self worth, and other losses as a result hss me in a state of so much uncertainty im my life!!

I know it's the perspective of God that I need to live, I just need to learn how to, increase my Faith, wait for His timing in all things, and make some very hard to make changes!! Sounds easy doesn't it? Maybe to some, but to me it seems so overwhelming!!

I need God's people to help show me how, because I'm admitting I don't know what to do next except pray pray pray!! It's the foot work that paralysis me every time!!

That's where I'm at, and it's not a good place to be!! Just being real!!
